Broadband Security
Firewire Broadband is considered an "always on" internet connection. With Firewire Broadband, you get a static IP address. Your computer or network is always found at this address. It is not as hard for someone who gets their kicks from hacking into your system to find you. With this in mind, it is a wise idea to take some kind of precaution against this kind of thing. People's ideas on how secure your connection should be will vary a good deal. We can't make a "blanket" recommendation on what your security strategy should be - - only that you should have one.
The links here are provided as is - - we don't make any claims for these folks. If you have a security link that you rely on - - please forward it to johamby@benlomand.net. You might see it posted here.
